NOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATION

The Kearney Public School District hereby gives this statement of compliance and intends to comply with all state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination.  This school district intends to take any necessary measures to assure compliance with such laws against any prohibited form of discrimination.

 

The Kearney Public School District does not discriminate on the basis of sex, disability, race (including skin color, hair texture, and protective hairstyles), color, religion, veteran status, national or ethnic origin, age, marital status, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition, sexual orientation or gender identity, or other protected status in its programs and activities and provides equal access to all designated youth groups.

NOTICE OF DESIGNATION OF COORDINATORS

The Superintendent of Kearney Public Schools has designated the following persons to handle inquiries regarding non-discrimination policies.  

 

The Director of Human Resources is designated to coordinate Kearney Public School’s compliance with, and handle inquiries regarding, Title VI and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Section 504 Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (Title II), Age Discrimination Act of 1964, Equal Pay Act of 1964, Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments, and the Nebraska Equal Education Opportunity Act.
