The Kearney High School Library Learning Commons has expanded its printing capabilities. Our Makerbot 3D printer allows teachers and students to create solid, three dimensional objects from a digital file for classroom use. A few examples of items that have been printed so far this year include:
- Props for the fall play
- A reed for a band instrument
- A set of hybridized orbitals for a chemistry class
- A fractal pyramid for a math class
- An SD card holder for photography/journalism classes
- Tangible items for a visually impaired student
- Manipulative games for student use
