NEW SUMMER READING PROGRAM AT THE HMS LIBRARY

NEW SUMMER READING PROGRAM AT THE HMS LIBRARY image

Parents, do you have trouble getting your children to read during the summer months?  Students, do you have trouble finding books to read over the summer months? We have a solution for you!
AVOID THE SUMMER BRAIN DRAIN!

Statistics show that students who do not maintain their reading skills over the summer do not always catch up in the fall--this is sometimes called the "summer slide". During the month of June, we will be debuting "Two Hour Tuesdays" in the Horizon Library. We will be open from 10:00 a.m.-Noon every Tuesday in June, and if we have enough interest, we just might be open in July as well!

This is a great opportunity for kids to participate in summer reading, meet their friends for awhile, check out books and explore the Makerspace.
Students will be asked to sign in at the office before heading to the library. Parents are welcome as well! This will be a great opportunity for our incoming 6th graders to get to know the library.
Hope to see you soon, in JUNE!
