Kearney High School is dedicated to supporting our military students and families. We acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices our military families make every day.  KHS, KPS, our Board of Education, and our teachers and staff are committed to serving the children of our military heroes.

New Military Students Entering KHS
New military students will be paired with a KHS ambassador. Ambassadors are students who are positive role models and leaders at  KHS. Ambassadors welcome new students to KHS by giving them a tour of the building, showing them to their classes, and introducing them to organization sponsors and sports coaches. When military families are considering moving to Kearney, an ambassador is assigned to conduct tours and answer their questions about our programs. Military students will receive help with Stampede, Parent-teacher’s conferences, and new student days. Our goal is to ensure every new military student is welcomed and has a smooth transition to KHS!
