Kearney Public Schools Earns National NSPRA Award of Excellence for Video Production
KEARNEY – Kearney Public Schools has received the prestigious Award of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) as part of its 2026 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards for the video "Kearney Public Schools in 107 Seconds".
The video was produced in conjunction with Tori Stofferson, KPS Communications Director and Jake Bunger, a 2012 KHS alumnae, a producer currently working in New York City. It can be viewed at www.kearneypublicschools.org/kps-in-107-seconds
The NSPRA Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding work in education communications, including publications, websites, social media campaigns, digital media, video productions, and other communication platforms. Entries are judged by experienced, award-winning communications professionals from across the country and evaluated on overall quality, creativity, effectiveness, and excellence within their category.
The Award of Excellence is NSPRA’s highest honor in each category and is reserved for entries that demonstrate exceptional quality and impact.
“This recognition is a tremendous honor for Kearney Public Schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Jason Mundorf. “Our communications director works hard to tell the stories of our students, staff, and programs in meaningful ways. Receiving national recognition from NSPRA validates the importance of sharing those stories and celebrating the incredible work happening throughout our district.”
The NSPRA awards program is highly competitive, with entries submitted by school districts, education service agencies, and educational organizations from across the United States and Canada. Judges have no predetermined number of awards to distribute and may choose not to issue awards in categories where submissions do not meet the organization’s standards for excellence.
“This award reflects the outstanding students, staff, and community members who make Kearney Public Schools such a special place,” said Tori Stofferson, Communications Director for Kearney Public Schools. “We are honored that our work was recognized at the national level.”
The NSPRA Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards celebrate the critical role effective communication plays in supporting public education and building strong connections between schools and their communities.
