Kindergarten-8th Grade Enrollment
You may register online or pick up an enrollment packet at 320 W 24th Street.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (8:00am-4:00pm in the summer)
A child must be 5-years-old on or before July 31 to be eligible for kindergarten.

If you currently have a student enrolled in Kearney Public Schools you can use the Parent Portal to register your child.

If you do not wish to register online, you can pick up a registration packet at the Enrollment Office

- Certified Birth Certificate
This needs to have the raised seal. (A copy will be made for our files and your original returned) State law requires that all new students must provide a certified copy of the student's birth certificate. To obtain an application for a birth certificate go to the following site: dhhs.ne.gov/publichealth/Pages/ced_bicert.aspx - Proof of Residency
You will need proof of Residency in the Kearney Public School district. Your name and address must be on the documents you provide. Examples: Rent receipt, lease agreement, mortgage document, property tax record, voter registration record, current utility bill, government benefits documentation such as Medicare, disability or food stamps. -
Immunizations
The form is required by the State of Nebraska and is due before a child can attend school. - KPS Health Questions
This form helps Kearney Public Schools to monitor health conditions of all of our students. -
This is required for students entering kindergarten and seventh grade. The form should be signed by a physician. A kindergarten physical cannot be completed any earlier than 6 months prior (February) to entering Kindergarten.

This survey helps us to communicate effectively with families and students who speak a language other than English. - Release Student Records (Except for Kindergarten)
Complete this form only if you are transferring from another school district. - Voluntary Transfer Form Complete this form if you are requesting to attend a school different from your neighborhood school.
- FERPA - Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
Parents may elect to restrict their child's information or allow their child's information to be included in press releases, birthday lists, honors lists, etc.
