ABOUT

I am a math teacher at Kearney High School. My hometown is Clay Center, Nebraska (population 800) where I graduated as a Wildcat and then attended Kearney State College. My senior year of college at KSC, it changed to the University of Nebraska at Kearney and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in math education (grades 7-12). I continued my education and received my Master's degree in Educational Administration (grades 7-12) from UNK as well, and have additional hours toward a K-6 administrative certificate.
I began my teaching career in 1992 in Kansas and returned to Nebraska to pursue a coaching opportunity in 1995. My teaching opportunities have allowed me to teach a variety of math courses, ranging from pre-algebra to AP Calculus and grades 7-12. Eighteen of those years were spent in Kenesaw, Nebraska.
My family moved to Kearney in December 2020. My husband, Doug, is the Agronomy Location Manager at Keene for Aurora Cooperative. Our two children, Austin, and Stefanie both reside in Kearney and are attending UNK. Our fur babies include two dogs, a cat, and two horses. In my spare time I enjoy riding horses, spending time with my family, and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Golden State Warriors.
